I sometimes amaze myself. I have been perfectly calm, cool, and collected about retiring to Costa Rica (English is my first language). But when someone mentions a gay community in North Carolina, i freak out. How could I live in NC? I'm a Yankee!

I’m confused, are you retiring in Costa Rica or North Carolina?

I'm not retiring anywhere. I am looking at options and possibilities. The established, intentional community web page is not easy to navigate so I simply opt out of looking at it and try to find what I seek in different primary sources.

Not sure if you've found a spot yet - warm and friendly Wilton Manor, Florida seems to be a nice place to retire for a gay man. I've heard great things about this community near Miami.

Just the idea of having options.

I live in NC, it is a nice place. The urban areas are a little expensive, but you do have the mountains and the coast all in the same state.
