Note to Mayor Bloomberg: When a former Philly cop describes your police force as brutal, you would do well to sit up and take notice.

Remember how dangerous and crime ridden N.Y. city was in the early eighties ? And now look at how low their crime statistics have become . They went to far with "zero tolerance" agendas and crackdowns . With an everyone goes to jail mentality , and now some brutal assaults on innocent "citizens" protesting their constitutional rights . It shows what a totalitarian police state they have let themselves become . The more they use violence against the o.w.s. protesters the larger it will grow .

Mr. Ray Lewis is proof that there are some good union cops left wearing brass . A cop for the people by the people , and he understands and is correct on where his loyalties lie . I commend him , and it took real guts to stand against his own blue line brotherhood . More should be like him , but too many today are nothing more than scabs . Who know nothing about union labor history , and which side they are supposed to represent . Unions should stick together always , and it's a fatal flaw that has developed in union labor . Because to many of their members are ignorant to what being a union member is all about , and the history of labor struggles .

While The rank and file union N.Y.P.D. officers are on the street brutalizing some of their own people , the N.Y.P.D. accepted millions and millions of dollars in " donation" money from a MAJOR U.S. bank . This should have been a MAJOR conflict of interest to the N.Y.P.D. " union" officers and representatives . And as far as I know to date , since the O.W.S. protest started and the money was accepted , their hasn't been a peep out of these so called "union" representatives about the N.Y.P.D. accepting these monies . Just what kind of union do they represent ? Where big banks can buy and sway the N.Y.P.D. favor against the o.w.s. protesters and other unions. Police departments should be funded with tax dollars , not ill timed " donations" from big business . And for their union reps. to stand by and take it , is a slap in the face to ALL union labor !
