i need to write this down before i forget.

rethink satan, the devil, as a concept we usually (i am speaking to most christians) think of satan as a fallen angel. lucifer the most beautiful angel, who started a rebellion in heaven in the first free choice of disagreement was commited. at that moment! satan was born. satan means "the adversary" but stop thinking of lucifer as satan. he is not. in fact satan is the birth of a new path of self distruction that a life away from salvation is.

after all, what can oppose gods will? what can truly defeat the power of gods love? nothing! no matter what anyone believes a life that is lived hiding from the light of the lord is truly sad. not only to live, but to witness as well. and a while there are times when all feels fine. these same ppl will all find themselves on their knees before the lord, basking in his everlasting glory! someday we will all see the light. whether in this life or the next we will bow. we will all see. even me

and this same afterlife will have only one choice. for hell cannot be what we believe it to be. hell is indeed the path of satan. for those days of misery truly are eternal. they stay with you forever. for even lucifer was forgiven by the lord. we are all forgiven as we ask. but! we must work to make not only our experience in this earthly realm livable. but to work to make the earthly realm a better place for future souls to inhabit.

I don't agree with you when you say that we stay that way forever. At any moment we can change. At any instant can we be forgiven. There is no need to blame, and there is always room for forgiveness. Even the first ever face transplant ever done, that woman forgave that man that did that to her. When I see my belief that anything can be forgiven is strengthened, no matter the situation. At any moment our worst enemies can become our best allies. Just like you said that God will eventually forgive Satan, not that he is forgiven NOW. But he will be eventually, and it is said that even Satan will bow down to the will of Jehovah and praise him. It is only inevitable.

I agree with you that Satan represents the rebellion against God and that this rebellion creates a path of self destruction, but I still personally believe that he is more than a concept. While we can oppose God's will, we can only do so for so long. Just like a force in nature tries to rebel against a black hole. Eventually it'll get swept inside, no matter how much it tries to push away.

But I agree, we should see Satan as Lucifer, a lost and confused angel, rather than an evil force. Even if he does act in this way.

we do not stay that way. it feels eternal. that is my point. perception is reality. but i think you misse an important point. we should not think of satan as some sort of deity, but as the path itself. opposition: this word encompasses what satan really is.

exactly. we may think that we are opposing the will of the lord, but we are trying to push a mountain a mile by hand.

Ah, I see. So if I am not mistaken, you're saying that it can FEEL eternal if we perceive it in that way. And when we perceive it that way then that's the world that we create for ourselves. I agree if that's what you mean. Perception is reality, yup. Although, to me, the most real thing is the now and realizing that WE are creating our experiences.

    Good point. Very well said

I think that it can be both a path and a deity. That path was first created by Satan and that we follow that path when we react as Satan would. So we can become as Satans by following his philosophy. Believing in the actual diety, imo, doesn't prevent the view that you are expressing. They can be mutually inclusive.
