Is anyone else whos getting Alevel/AS results too nervous to sleep? im thinking of playing spider solitaire all night..have just eaten too many cheese crackers in an attempt to take my mind off it..argh tomorrow everything in my life will change.. if i get into UCL or birmingham and they let me defer im off to vienna to work as an aupair for a lot of the year then i might teach sailing in the south of france..but if they dont.. or i have to go through clearing dont knwo what ill do.. andi think i will be in clearing.. argh..
i dont know if its related but two nights ago i had the strangest dream and it ended up with me crying in my sleep and then i screamed and woke my parents up.. have never done that before.. dream seemed so realistic to..

But the point of this post..all my weird thoughts above suggests that these results are making me feel a tad stressful.. but do you think Alevels have indeed got easier?Looking through past papers from when my sister did her alevels...6/7 years ago there doesnt seem to be much difference.. but then the grade boundarys seem to have changed..
ITs true that people are getting higher grades... but at the beginning of the 80s there was a different system where only 10% of the population got As (that fact may or may not be true but that was the system...)
    difficult matter..
but i needed to write this to stop me adding up my AS results and seeing how many marks i need for each grade.. and yes i have been doing that..
    argh

Awww Kat, don't worry. I'm doing the exact same thing. It's only my AS results but I'm soooo stressed. I am not going to be able to sleep a wink. This is even worse than GCSE. I can't wait til tomorrow, because at least if I am depressed there won't be this horrible unknown feeling! I'm preparing myself that I've failed the lot because then I'll be happy whatever I've got. I'm so mad at myself though cause I know I could have worked so much harder. Damn being so lazy. AAAAArgh!!! Insane ramblings! Roll on Friday.

Muchly love and luck to all those getting results tomorrow and next week,
    Summer. xx.

awww i dont know what to say other than good luck!

i'm sure you've done great, and just dont eat too many crackers! hahaha. please try and sleep though, too much spider solitaire most definitely kills your eyes. and i know.

makes me want to shoot those MPs who are saying exams are getting easier. if anything they're getting harder, and kids are therefore having to work harder to keep up. the grade boundaries changing every year probably has quite an effect too.

anyhow, best wishes for tomorrow, and only a week until the GCSEs. Ahhh! now THAT i am not looking forward to, but GCSEs are petty compared to A Levels, and i would be just as nervous as you in your position. i dont think you're going crazy, no doubt there are thousands of others just like you biting their fingernails.

    hugs to you Mrs Pink.

    :)

ARG, god, I've managed to get through the entire holiday so far without thinking about results, but now I'm getting abit...not nervous, maybe slightly anxious. It's not that I 'know' I've done amazing, it's just that I'm resigned to the fact that I know I won't have achieved my full potential, and that does feel a bit disappointing. Still, I'll have got into uni, whether it's firm or insurance, I'm just not looking forward to all the ringing everywhere I'll probably have to do...

    Good luck everyone!!!! :D
