Hi, I’m doing a research paper and i need the help from you. My english teacher want use to write about what other country’s perception of America is. Well I chose Australia as my country, but I can’t find any good information about what the people of Australia think of use Americas. So I’ve come to you, if u could post your thoughts about America and why u think that I would really appreciate it. Thanks
yeh, how about the real view ? ahaha well, most people around here are pissed off with america because theyve got control over our prime minister, dragged us into the fuckin holy wars, corroding our culture, pronouncing 'aussi' wrong, etc. you wont find much information because a) youre searching from within america, and b) america shoots people who piss them off. american chicks by themselves can be pretty hot in australia, but not when theyre in groups lol. in the end, most australians who have the authority to publish things are afraid of voicing out against america all that much. the worst is the fuckin trade agreement made. australia couldnt really not sign it, with the unspoken threats involved with not signing, and the pwning of our PM by american president gwb
australia is a client state of america, it swapped alliegances post ww2 when it stopped sending its soldiers to englands wars and started sending its soldiers to americas wars instead. the idea of auxillaries being used in war is an old one. no doubt that in australias travels with the american army torture and human rights violations have occurred. after saying this rest easy - the average joe over here is rabidly pro american. the more educated class go through a period of "rebellion" when younger but get used to the idea of america as they get older.
there is not a BIG FUCKING DIFFERENCE between america and the american government. the government controls the country, controls the people, controls the laws, guides the culture. shitty governments lead to shitty culture.
Whatever dude, but the American Government is NOT America. Every culture has it's downsides and upsides. I happen to like America's upsides a lot and sure, the downsides worry me, but there's fuckall I can do about it.
How about screw you Puddin'? I'm not talking about EVERYBODY everybody. I'm talking about the Australians I know. Tete-de-pioche.
"Practically everybody here in Aus hates America." Do the Australians you know comprise "practically everybody" in Australia? ... Thought not.
Oh...Well I'm sorry Mr "I'm SOOO Freakin' Smart Everyone Else Can Go Get Fucked". Fine. "About 3/4 of the Australians I know are not very fond of America". So what if I made a mistake in my first post? Get over it.
well how about elabourate instead of argue? so far not one person in this thread has mentioned anything positive about america, why dont you go ahead?
Why the hell is it I can't argue for shit(don't answer that)? Goddammit you win. Trying to change the subject...Well does anyone like George Bush/US Government? Maybe that's why some people don't like America? Don't mind me...
I personally don't like the Bushmiester. Some good things about the ol' US of A eh? How about that time when they played an instumental part is fucking Hitler up the ass? Oh, curse them for that! And how about the fucking amazing music that comes out of America, and could only come from there? If I listed all the bands I'd go on forever. Think of its achievements in film and literature, all these things are purely subjective, but I love American cinema, literature and music. Bands like Modest Mouse, film makers like Quentin Tarantino and writers Chuck Palahniuk are all quintissentially American, and all are fucking genius. Sure, there may be some stupid Americans, but do you have ANY idea how shallow you sound going "Hurr hurr hurr, look at all those stupid Americans... They suck ass." And yes, American foriegn policy is, for the most part, a joke... But I don't give a fuck.
Yep - Bush, the rest of the politcs shit and the system is ass up. I hate that, and I hate a lot of american music (namely rap) with a passion. I absolutely love a lot of it though. Some of my favourite music comes from the US. If you look past the majorly manufactured image America has created for itself, you'll find that it is wonderful. You get some awesome people from that country.
