Yes, its made in 2000. And I watched it then, and just watched it again.

Trainspotting is currently my favorite.

 

Oh man Trainspotting was a crazy ass movie. I remember watching that one....Don't think I've seen Requiem for a Dream though.

Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas

Requiem For A Dream is second though... unless you consider The Big Lebowski a drug movie, then thats number one.

Ahhh man.....now I really feel like watching trainspotting.

 

i was actually on tv the other night.
i missed most of it though.

 

I actually woke up just as it was starting. I was SO excited.

 

yeah i was pissed that i missed most of it.
i started watchin at the part where that dude was detoxing in that room at his parents house.
and the baby was crawling across the ceiling haha.
that was pretty fucked.

 

Fear and Loathing is my favorite, by far, because it's probably the only "drug movie" I've seen while tripping. Well, I've also seen Grandma's Boy and Smiley Face while tripping, but it's not necessarily a "drug movie" in the same sense as the others, since they're just about getting stoned:sifone:

Trainspotting is probably my second favorite, followed by Requiem For A Dream.

I watched Requiem For A Dream with my mom yesterday and it was her first time seeing it. When it ended, her only reaction was "That was intense". haha

 

Requiem for a Dream is by FAR my fav drug movie. That movie rocks so much ass. It is so intense. The music go PERFECT with the movie. If you have not seen It I suggest you do so!! I love that.

Sultan sea was kind of interesting. I liked it because it was a little different. Good stuff though.

 

I used to work in production for an indy film festival, so I have over 2000 DVD's, including Requiem. I don't have Trainspotting, though, I have to go get a copy. The baby thing was definitely fuckered, but I swear, I laugh my ass off every time Rent Boy opens his mouth. Only dope fiends think that flick is funny; Manfriend shows it to his treatment groups, lol. I told him that's mean, it makes you want to go shoot dope, and he said he doesn't see why. I said, "That's because you're a COKE HEAD, my love (in recovery but still) - it's a dope thang, you wouldn't unnerstand."

If you want to see a really trippy film, get the animated "Wizards" by Ralph Bashky. It was experimental for his work on The Hobbit, and the images are AMAZING.

its about speed.
the way they filmed it interacts perfectly with the drug.
you have to watch it to understand what i mean but its a good movie.

 

Yeah, I almost mentioned that. but then I though of sultan sea. It was better. Spun was ok.

OMG holy crap! I must have been wrong!!! Maybe I made a mistake somewhere! Lori thinks it was awesome, so it HAS to be AWESOMMMEEEE.

 

I loved "Spun." But I hate speed for reasons I won't go into here.

 

Pretty good movie, I saw it at a very integral point in my life. And it turns out, my friend has not seen it... so we are gonna watch it tonight.

My fav is Fear and Loathing, though.

Spun is good, Permanent Midnight, Half Baked of course.

 

i have yet to see sultan sea.
i'll have to check that one out..

 

I can't believe I didn't think of it before, but Candy is a good movie too.
