Fucking amazing. One of my favorite movies.

Also one of the few instances where I think the movie trumps the book. I tried reading the book...I had to put it down. Its like one big run on sentence, really bad grammar. I couldn't bring myself to finish it.

ugh I forgot about that part. I haven't seen the movie in a while.

I just watched Trainspotting, have you seen it? Another really good movie about heroin addicts.

well to perform such a procedure (if possible) he would need alot of money, which a junkie in jail doesnt have. besides i think that the infection was all the way into his veins, and when the guard comments that it smells, that could mean that it had begun rotting already, and you cant reverse rotting, but yea its a good movie. it gives me another reason to say no to heroin

he wouldn't need a lot of money, he'd just be in a lot of debt. Hospitals are more than willing to save your life...so you can spend the rest of it paying off those massive medical bills.

key words, save your life. in the least possible work. (ie amputation) they wont go out of their way to perform an expensive operation on someone with a low chance of paying (ie junkie in jail) so its a qick and easy amputation for Harry.

Definitely an amazing movie. It made me feel dead inside after watching it, but just the fact that a movie could do that makes it great.

Really fucked up, though, don't watch it for the first time tripping or I'm pretty sure you'd flip out.

Trainspotting doesn't show as much of the downside of heroin addiction though. Well, it does, but not so graphicly.

Dude...the man digs through shit to get a fix. And the baby dies...that's the worst part. That dead baby.

I always thought the dead baby was very funny. The shit was one of the weirdest parts of the movie and I thought it was very very creative. To me Requiem just casts a negative sense on it. I mean going ass to ass with another chick to get your fix. Not that I wouldn't watch that going on. :)

The drug hadn't dissolved into his body yet, so no they weren't used.

Speaking of heroin movies, No Country For Old Men was really good. Personally even though Requiem is great, it doesn't compare to No Country. I know their different but as for as storytelling and characters No Country was way better. Okay it wasn't exactly about Heroin but it was really good, check it out when you get a chance.

On the topic of Requiem I do agree that it has a big effect after watching it, but it's only really the first time. Except for the old lady, she's always creepy.
