It is essentially the reason you started your post in the first place; to try to get through the point that not all people can be classed into one pool. Yet rj, seems to continually do what you are trying to get him to understand. You cannot win in these types of threads; you only simply need to flick through, know when to drop out, shake your head and laugh.

I find the Democrat candidates just as pitiful and hate filled; the whole world is a hate filled cesspool at the moment with no end in site and America at the forefront, just not in a good way.

So which ever candidate that pulls the collective heads out of Washingtons ass; cleans house; sits seriously down with Putin, with no mentioned of Climate Change "as the most dangerous threat" rhetoric, has my vote.

You don't. People have the right to express their views, and that does not make them responsible or liable for the extreme actions of crazy people. Otherwise, we could have no honest political debate at all.

When the Ku Klux Klan spews hate speech against black people, only bigots try to defend it. And those that expose that hate, are not blamed for being the polarization and contributing to the problem.

When the Nazis spewed hate speech against the Jews, the world rose up to speak out against it.

If the world doesn't rise to speak out against the hate speech of the far right extremists, there will be more Planned Parenthood massacres.

Well... dude. Nobody here is telling you not to speak out against republicans or hate. I sure as hell wasn't.

Women who get abortions are not a demographic, ethnic, or racial group.

It always has been, even at this forum. Groups that are defined only by their views are fair game, including political parties.

I've been on the receiving end of that plenty of times, and I never hesitate to say that all the conservative Republicans can go fuck themselves.

HF doesn't even have a rule against racism or sexism or religious bigotry, as long as it isn't directed at an individual member. Then it's considered a violation of the personal attack rule. Of course, too much of that will make a lot of people hate you, as it would in the "real" world.

You must remember 20 or so years ago when PP was being attacked on a regular basis.

One dude kills 2 is not a massacre; bombing a 'Doctors without borders' Hospital that killed patients and staff is a Massacre; Paris is a massacre; Obamas ' Drone War' is a massacre. Uganda, Kenya,The Congo, most of north Africa has Massacres and Genocide yet 2 people killed by some dude is a Massacre?

Wording is the key to insight arguments and hate.

True, but we're starting to drift off topic.

Donald Trump recently told CNN that he won't participate in their next debate unless they pay him big money. I think that's an absurd and intolerable violation of the traditional separation of politicians and the press. His logic is that an organization he doesn't like stands to make money off his appearance at their event, so he wants to take control of the situation.

Was thinking today that I hadn't heard much about the presidential run lately, seems to have been overshadowed by other news. Then today Chris Christie came up on NPR a few times, he seems to be screaming the loudest about terrorism, as of right now.

Why do I get the feeling that the Feds will be sent to raid all US states with legal medical and recreational cannabis laws under a Christie presidency?

    Scary, kids...

"This web site is not about traditional Republicans or conservative Christians. It is about the manipulation of people of a certain faith for political power. It is about the rise of dominionists in the U.S. federal government."

Today's hard right seeks total dominion. It's packing the courts and rigging the rules. The target is not the Democrats but democracy itself.

According to acclaimed journalist and television host Bill Moyers,
"True, people of faith have always tried to bring their interpretation of the Bible to bear on American laws and morals ... it's the American way, encouraged and protected by the First Amendment. But what is unique today is that the radical religious right has succeeded in taking over one of America's great political parties. The country is not yet a theocracy but the Republican Party is, and they are driving American politics, using God as a a battering ram on almost every issue: crime and punishment, foreign policy, health care, taxation, energy, regulation, social services and so on."

These aren't your funny republican clowns we're dealing with here, some of these are evil, scary clowns

Since it's a behaviour that some americans are part of it is an american behaviour. It doesn't necessarily mean all americans rape babies.

RJ said it was un-american to lie about the president. Donald Trump does so and one third of republicans (at least according to some polls) are behind him. That makes it a very american behaviour.

What I did not imply is that if you lie then you must be american.

Yeah, he got endorsed by the newspaper, New Hampshire Union Leader.
So now he's getting some more airtime and we're all having to listen to his idiocy.

Granted, Christie has more decent brain cells than half the candidates out there... but that's not saying much.

You don't have to guess about it.
You're getting that feeling because Chris Christie has said, specifically and repeatedly, that he would enforce Fed laws.
He has said he would close any recreational usage and doesn't think states should be allowed to do what they currently are being allowed to do.

He's also mostly against medical marijuana and only approved it in NJ after a very public contention between himself and the father of a very ill child.
Even then, he only approved it when there were plenty of restrictions and red ape added to accessing it.

So, no "feeling" needed... it's all stated in black and white, he will raid and close them all.
