Remember Hip Forums BACK IN THE DAY?

remember pressed rat the music guy, and uh...that seems to be the only name remembers from like 8 years ago. i bet skip and ellisdtripp remember. i bet chiefcowpie and and old crone remember.

i remember i had a name, but i forgot it now, i was the guy who wrote those awsome stories about alices resturant.

 

I know my father was a member on this forum but he passed away April 21, 2006. I found this site on one of his old CPU's in his favorites file 1-1/2 years ago, I wrote some of the links down on a note pad, but the computer is fried now due to a lighting strike on a telephone pole in our back yard. I lost all the pics that was stored on there.:$

 

i always unplug everything when a front with lightning is on its way to come through. the only way i ever wouldn't is if i had a really extremely isolating uninteruptable powersupply between the compy and the power line. some people can afford to replace their hardware more often then i can.

i very definately remember when people talked about INTERESTING things on random thoughts, instead of just booze and sex and mundane crap.

well maybe about one thread in five is even close to interesting any more, but it IS up to us to make it so. i'm not sure when everything that was remotely interesting started getting shot down almost emediately as a matter of course.

i think right from the beggining there were maybe one or two who did that. but there was a time when that was just a small minority.

My forums memory only goes back 5 years. I remember when rat was a music guy and not a conspiracy guy, at least in my forum experiences.
Now I like to think of him as a beer guy though.
