Hey woodies, I am interested in moving to Oregon, and becoming part of the progressive scene up there.

I live in East Texas right now. I am a simple man, with modest material appetites, and ideals that are not fulfilled in this assbackwards state.

I have considered Austin, however, it seems like a poor substitution. Especially compared to the East Coast.

I plan on having atleast 6K for relocation and moving in. I don't have many possessions, and can cut that in half. I have a high school diploma, but I don't have a degree. I make up for that with my solid work ethic and interest in diversifying my talents.

I would do pretty much anything for work. As long as it pays my keep with a little savings, and is honest.

Can I make it in Oregon?

If you lean left, try Portland or Eugene. Otherwise go anywhere except for those two places.

Uh, southern Oregon is completely full of people that lean to the left... Portland and Eugene are NOT the only places to be amongst hip type people.

    Try Medford or Ashland, Oregon.
