    Okay,

So I have been injecting for about 4 years, never been a daily user, I have long periods of no use, but I have gotten pretty safe with everything. But, I have always released my torniquet AFTER pushing down the plunger, but I have read some places that I should release it after I pull back and see some blood so I know that I hit a vein, but before I push down the plunger to inject. Does this prevent bruising?

Just wanted to be sure that this was the safest way.

You should release the tourniquet after you register before pushing down the plunger or else it is a lot harder on ur veins and could maybe even blow your vein out and you do NOT want that.

Another reason ive heard is if your not wrapping it properly and dont untie it you could pass out with the torniquet still on and do more damage
