I thought it was poignant to ask now, as we have the lull before New Year. I have made many new forum friends this past year. I have sadly lost some, no idea why some just leave. I have laughed at so many posts, I have been totally shocked, by some threads. HIP has been through some significant changes, during 2021. I personally think, for the better. I look forward to the coming NEW YEAR! Share your experiences. Thanks Candy x
I think its fair to say an indifferent year . Only slightly better than 2020 . The shadow of Covid still hangs over us and others seem to make decisions on our lives but themselves dont follow the rules that they have set . Its time to accept that Covid will be within the community and live with it rather than trying to hide from it. I am hopeful for 2022 and provided that my pension figures are correct ,looking forward to semi retirement .
I joined in April of this year.......... I have met some wonderful people here (and came across a few creepy ones too) --- the nice thing is if you happen to ask someone to leave you alone they do! I've personally learned a lot about myself this year, and learning about different parts of society....... through some very personal stories I hope that anyone here needs an extra kind word or someone to talk to i'm here! I love my HIP "family" they are always here for me too
Hello ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for building a community where manners come first. A place where the members can come and escape the rest of the internet.
Exercising what some refer to as 'chivalry' is to me merely good manners. I had a very strict mid-victorian up-bringing, but today I am thankful for it.
I was weaned on politics and Trade Unions Candy darlin' - my father was an active Trade Unionist and both my parents were politically active, as too were my Grand-parents, my Grand mother being a 'Match Girl' and a suffragette, she knew both Annie Bessant and Sylvia Pankhurst.
It's been an up & down year.... no sexual pun intended. LOL. Had good times, had bad times both here and away from here. Said things I shouldn't, said things I should. Middle of the road... right where I belong.
On this one I am allowed to express myself more, but a certain member here and on the other forum spread the word that my political contributions are to be ignored.
