Do you ever listen to a song and when you initially hear it , you either disregard it or think it's ok but don't really think much of it at the time. Then for whatever reason either due to life experience and change you come back to the song and all of a sudden it completely clicks with you and it's like you almost are hearing it again for the first time in a completely different light.

This song is currently like that for me.

this, never bothered when it was out- but saw them a couple nights ago and it was lovely. I love it much more than I did before, God knows why I didn't take notice then.

Vic Goddard & The Subway Sect's Whats The Matter Boy ? album, from 1980.

Got it when it came out, on the strength of positive reviews and liking their earlier singles... it left me cold.

A year or more later I gave it another spin... and suddenly it all made sense.

I was this way with Eliot Smith. I tried to listen to him once and found him too depressing, then I popped in a cd one cold rainy morning when I was feeling kinda down and found that he fit my mood perfectly, but when I tried to go back to him later I found I couldn't really get into him any other time so I filed him away to my cold rainy day music..but like two years later something just clicked and all of a sudden I could not get enough of Eliot Smith, now i listen to him all the time.

I had the same with The Doors. When i was about 14 years old, i met a girl when i was on holiday. With some other kids we used to go to a riverbed to chill and she played The Doors all the time on her casseteplayer (especially Light my Fire). I dind't think much of it at that time. Now i have all The Doors (live)albums and video's and play them a lot.
