Some others that might be considered in the same circle of folk:

Steve Goodman, Pete Seeger, The Kingston Trio, Gordon Lightfoot, Ian and Sylvia, Tom Paxton, Simon & Garfunkel, Sandy Denny, Peter, Paul and Mary, John Prine, Tom Rush, The Weavers, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young . . . just to name a few.

Some more modern folk you might like:

Elliott Smith, Joanna Newsom, Turin Brakes, Low, Crowded House, Jose Gonzales, Jason Reeves, Joanna Newsom, Kimya Dawson, Josh Ritter (I kind of think of him as a modern Bob Dylan in a way), Peter Mulvey, The Weepies, She & Him. . . .

I could go on. ;) Give those a try!

Some names that I've been enjoying: Pokey Lafarge, Charlie Parr, Frank Fairfield, and Carolina Chocolate Drops. A little on the bluegrass side, but good nonetheless. First Aid Kit is a young sister duo from Sweden that is incredible.

How about the Wood Brothers? Listen to Lovin' Arms.
Todd Snider is also great to listen to, some of his stuff can be pretty funny, too. He just came out with a new album that I've been enjoying.
