Hey again (sorry for yet, another thread)

I have designed my 1st tattoo, and it came out beautiful!
Getting tattoo's has become a new hobby of mine, you could say.
While there are many, very talented Tattoo Artists here...
I have heard that Tattoo Parlors in Japan do really nice work, also.
So, for my next (3rd) tattoo, I would like to get it in Japan.

    And place you recommend?

    Thanks, again!

Good work, but I believe you have to be 20 (coming of age) to get a tattoo in Japan.

Yeah, I think so. You can't drink or smoke until you're 20 in Japan, so I assume tattoos will definately be 20 or above as they're seen as pretty negative things in Japan (associated with the Yakuza etc).

Yeah, expect people to stare when you're in an onsen...
My fiance and I had a petty quarrel over this once.

    Hahaha lol.
    What happened?
    That seems pretty craazzy.

    But, Why would they stare?
    If I stare back,
do you think it'd turn into a staring competition?

Usually, if you have visible tattos and you try and enter onsen, swimming pools or public baths, you will be refused.

    Ooo, I see.

That's kinda not fair in my opinion...
Maybe I should hide it with a towel or something.
Cus I have yet to go to an onsen.

I don't think it's an absolute rule though, because my brother has more tattoos than I have and he wasn't refused when we went to a public bath (at that time I hadn't gotten my tattoo). Maybe it has something to do with the particular design of a tattoo? fountains_of_nay, would you have any idea what kind of tattoos a yakuza member might have?

Aye, I also think the problem is that not many people in Japan (even youngsters) have tattoos.

Yeah, well judging from the clothes and make up they wear the young people of japan don't need tattoos:)
