Yep! Been land locked my whole life :/.

 

The sea I've been to is dirty and salty, and probably really bad for my health.
It looks ok from the pier.
Unless it's blue and warm, I doubt you are missing much.

 

Hello,

I never saw the sea. As a young lad I once did a harbour boat trip in the city of Hamburg. For the landlubber that I am this is as close to the sea as it needs to be. I've seen enough .

That's a shame. I have a lot of friends in California that adore the ocean. I'll probably take a trip out there next year sometime to visit people and finally see the ocean.

 

I guess there is a difference between seeing it to being in it. Seeing it from a distance. Smelling the sea air. Taking a walk along the seafront hand in hand with a loved one/family. All that is quite nice.
Being in it?
