thank you for finally correcting the season of the picture threads. that was bothering me more than it really should have.
I recently received my new toy, which I am loving: a Ketonix ketone breath analyzer. Ketone breath analyzers have only been recently introduced, and this one comes from Sweden. It plugs into the USB port of the computer and displays a color corresponding with your level of ketones based on the acetone in your breath. You simply breathe into it for about 15-30 seconds, and wait for the color to change. Prior to this, the only way to test for ketones were from unreliable urine test strips, or from blood ketone readers which use testing strips that are around $6 a piece or more. While this breath analyzer cost me $100, it will save me money in the long run, and it has proven to be quite accurate. Yes, I am a fucking dork. In deep ketosis: red indicating a high level of ketones.
LOL!! There is a huge difference between ketosis-high -- in this case around 3-4mM -- and ketoacidosis-high (which is around 20mM high or more.) This device measures for ketone levels of non-diabetics who are on a ketogenic diet. Yes, ketoacidosis is a very, very bad thing, but fortunately that is something only people with Type I diabetes have to worry about.
In regards to my previous thread... Here is a NOT-so-recent (but rather recently found) photograph of me (all 260 lbs of me) in the Fall of 2009 holding (ironically) a huge-ass plate of food during a Thanksgiving party at work.
Did you have man boobs? Way to go, PR .. fantastic self-improvement! You should be a guru with your own clinic / retreat.
Man boobs? Not really. I probably have bigger man boobs now than I did then, except they're all muscle. A guru with my own clinic / retreat? Haha... in due time.
WOW! I've never even approached 200 lbs and I'm 6'2" Strange though - you look happier than I've ever seen you in any previous picture you posted Hotwater
