all my dreams that i remember play on real life events and situations?

theyre not overly abstract (they be strange locations etc) and they always relatable to something thats going on in my life.

does anyone else always get this too?

listening to other peoples dreams (friend etc) theyre always out there and strange etc. mine just arent.

mine are totally realistic, but a totally seperate life and context from anything in this one.

there are places, geographicly stable in them, that parallel places, i.e. towns and parts of towns i've been to, but that's as close as it comes. everyone i meet in them, when i do, is someone who lives there, in that dream universe, or if also in this one at all, not anyone i've ever met in it. only very very rarely is anyone there someone from here.

but its really a completely different landscape, different tecnology and everything. just as solid to all the senses, just as completely believable, but really not the same places or people at all, from the world i'm awaike in.

i mean not so different that anyone couldn't adjust or learn their way arround, but prevailing cultural assumptions are different and everything that resaults from that consistently corrisponds with it. there's a LOT more public transportation for example. a mostly lower population density, few if any building codes or fences. but ground is ground, rocks are rocks, trees are trees, buildings are buildings (but frequently built in far more interesting and gratifyingly mazelike ways), little furry creatures are little furry creatures (though by no means the same little furry creatures, more like as different as say those you find on one earth content from another, but not more or outlandishly so).

no, there's nothing experientially to me strainge about mine either. it's a geography i know like the back of my hand, always at home and familiar in, but at the same time, just mostly unlike that in this one.

I had an incredibly strange dream last night. It started out with me planting crops in my back yard. I was just finishing up when I looked down at my hand and noticed a large cut frum my thumb all the way across to my pinky. There was no blood or even any tissue underneath. It was like I was wearing a glove of skin with a tear in it.

I remember being alarmed and running to the bathroom and when I looked in the mirror, the skin under my chin was hanging loose and I pulled at it and it tore away like a bandage. Underneath my chin was this green pod and I felt no pain as I ripped away at my face. That's probably one of the most vivid and strange dreams I've had in a long time.

how do these relate to whats happening though in real life?

that was the point of my post. my dreams always correspond to something happening to me, whether it work issues, friendships, love life etc.

an example... more than a year ago i had a big fall out with a very close friend (only getting back on track now) and for about six months i had all different dreams but in each one i would be befriending her. the scenes were different...could be a party..the beach...a holiday etc. but the people and her especially were the same.

none of the assumptions made in the second two paragraphs, which are very capable, even probable of being to some degree mistaken, but even if they weren't, are any reason to assume the expectation made in the first.

there's NO reason to expect them to need to. at all. period.

even if everything you've ever dreamed before in your life actually did.

I get those now and again

Ok, what's going on is, when you dream, that's the time when your brain is organizing stuff. When you see something throughout the day, it's put into your memory somehow and some way; So your brain tries to sort that stuff. What ends up happening is you see that stuff in your dreams, sooner or later.

    Make better sense?
It's just your brain letting loose what's in your memory.

thats how i interpret it most of the time.

in some scenerios i think im trying to tell myself something that im probably not listening to in everyday life.

well just as you said... sometimes i think im just processing everyday things... places ive been things ive seen etc. maybe people ive spoken to.

then sometimes i think its relating to some sort of unease thats happening.

like in my original post saying i had recurring dreams where a "foe' in real life would be befriending me in all my dreams. at that time id had a falling out with a close friend through fault of my own. but was leaving it as it was due to just being too proud. i think the dreams over and over were telling me that i wanted this person in my life... thus her always befriending me in my dreams.

we did eventually work things out (a year later...and these dreams continued to a degree the whole time) but it was me who had to do the approaching and fixing.

does that make sense... but it can be many things. people or situations that are on your mind seem to be focused on in your dreams in some way?

recently i had a feeling of being stuck in a rut...not doing anything new etc etc, i had a dream i travelled and got lost...then not sure what happened after that haha.

not sure if they relate at all!
