Has anyone had dreams where they felt like they've run into not self-generated people/characters? Where it felt like it was a seperate type of consciousness than your own?

A few years ago I had a vivid lucid dream where I was walking around an urban area. In the dream, I passed by a restroom and decided to go in and use it. I was standing at the urinal and sensed someone else walking in the doorway. However, seeing this visitor literally jolted me (a shock to the body, kind of like when someone sneaks up on you) and he was just as surprised as I was, and stumbled out backwards. I felt like I ran into a real person.

Once in a while, I have conversations in dreams with people that seem seperate from myself, having a self awareness. It seems like the purpose of their visits are usually to deliver a specific message.

Anyone else run into this phenonena?

Yup. when i was abit younger i has a reccuring theme in some of my dreams where when i was asleep i would eter another reality, hmmm outer body experience???

and in this other reality there was a beuatiful girl, and old man and someone else but i cant remember, and they would always be waiting for me, and they were kind of like my family and i was in love with the girl. They were able to stay in that reality but i'd always get sucked back to the waking world :(

...but they'd always still be waiting there for me in the other reality.

The dreams stopped but on a few occasions i've felt like they were close, as if this reality and that were connected, but we were unable to make contact
....i hope they are still waiting and i hope i can go back there again one day.. :H

when i was 15,, after splitting a 8 ball of mda with a bro of mine over a 36 hour period,..

about 4 on a sunday morning..

i saw a old man with a wagon wheel,, he was dressed an looked like someone outta the dust bowl days..

he was rollin this wagon wheel slowly back an forth like a 90 degree roll,, tellin me "GO BACK,,GO BACK"..
i ran down the rainbow yarn road we were all walkin down an shoved him outta my space,,..

took another 7 years to figure out what he was talkin about..

an another 15 to start implementing it.. ;)

    love and light..

i once had this dream that i was driving a car through my neighborhood, and my dad was in the passenger seat with me. i was talking to him, but it was like a real conversation. i found at the next morning that he had had the exact same dream, and even remembered where all we had driven and talked about.

This reminded me of "dreams" I had where someone I knew, like a parent, would come into my room and sit on my bed and maybe talk a little. Then they'd fade away, which annoyed me.

yup, that happens. not often but it does.
just like talkin to somebody on the internet.
only more complete of an experience sometimes

not exactly the same as meeting someone face to face
in real life. until they tell you about it, you can never be
completely certain that they were actualy there experiencing
    and shairing the same thing.

but sure, it can and does happen.
