Reading to each other...

Do you and your partner ever read to each other? Have you ever started and finished a book together?

I started House of Leaves with my guy, we're about two thirds of the way through. I'm usually the one who ends up reading and we started it over a year ago.

 

Kind of reminds me of the movie "The Reader"

 

That was a pretty epic movie.

 

I have never read with my partener but it sounds like a cute idea. Although I don't know if I would have the patience. lol

I'd be totally down with my guy. I love reading out loud and i'd love to just listen to him. I don't think I would care enough to finish the book though. haha

 

I don't like being read to and I don't really like reading to others. I love books, but read them in my time, as does my guy.

 

Being read to is ok as long as it's not the riot act.

jepp and it was phantastic. But the best experience was to read to each other with a girl I occasionally shared a room with. I wasn't in a romatic relationship with her.

Yeah, it really is fun, depending on who you do it with and what you're reading.

My favorite part is when my guy would start going down on me while I'm reading, then we work up to having sex. BEST sex EVER. Always.

 

Might be fun if the book had interesting characters and you goofed around giving each one of them an accent and trying to do a bit if improv acting to go along with it.

 

I was in a relationship where we read to each other often. Most of the best books I've encountered were read that way.

We read the ENTIRE Earth's Children series (Clan of the Cave Bear etc.) and those are not short books.

And we read Mysts of Avalon which was also a pretty long read but also well worth it.

Well, I'd be more comfortable reading to the girl. If she started reading to me, I think I'd end up asking for a lolly (popsicle) or to be tucked in or something and then she'd never look at me the same way again.
