Does anyone else like to read right in the middle of huge parties? Not just gathering where everyone's all chill but parties with ska and punk blasting, people running around breaking stuff, fire outside, chugging and chanting. Or am I the only one who finds this atmosphere good for reading? Where do you like to read?

Closest I've come to that is reading at school, which could get VERY loud and crazy at times. Teachers would always ask me how I could concentrate. I'm sure with college coming up though, I'll have lots of opportunities to read at parties, and the atmosphere won't bug me a bit!

I know that quiet bugs me a lot because I need background noise to keep me awake. I'm reading a really good book for college right now, but it's so hard to get through it without crashing because it's too quiet at my house. A party might be a great atmosphere for reading as long as I can hear it and am in a place that people will leave me alone. The distraction and noise is almost necessary with me.

I find that too much noise like that distracting... I usually read on the subway, or right before bed for half an hour.
