When you die what are you going to be re-encarnated as??? I think i am going to be something that can fly, and has a long life, like an eagle or an albertross.... Also i have the feeling i have never been a human before..... But that's just me....
I'm going to be re-incarnated as worm food. No doubt I'll end up as soil when they've finished me. Dust and bones. I'll feed the grass, then the cows, maybe I'll end up as a beefburger. Eventually, when the sun goes supernova, my atoms will be lost to space, perhaps they'll form the core of a new star, or help fuel life on a new planet....
I'm off to Nirvana as is the purity of my soul and reside next to the one. No animal or human return for me, I hope. More like friggin hell for the arrogance and ego I have. That being back here in this forsaken existence.
Why would you want to give up life...? Even if you had to come back as a worm...... I want to live as anything..... What is nirvana supust to be like anyway?.... (only fourteen, and a thick one)
This thread reminds me of that Michael Palin Himalaya documentary. He found out he was going to be an elephant! Im goint to probably be ordinary grass next when the plants soak up some of the nutrients out of the ashes.
Nirvana is a sort of Bhuddist 'Heaven', but is not heaven! It is a state of mind which you reach after much meditation, contemplation and experiance of people and the world around you. It is supposed to be utter bliss. I'de rather achive Nirvana than be re-encarnated. But if I had to be something I would be a cat, my cat to be precise. Cats get to laze around all day, I'de love that.
Bryan came home from the pub late one Friday evening stinking drunk, as he often did, and crept into bed beside his wife who was already asleep. He gave a peck on the cheek and fell asleep. When he awoke he found a strange man standing at the end of his bed wearing a long flowing white robe. "Who the hell are you?" Demanded Brian, "and what are you doing in my bedroom?". The mysterious Man answered "I'm St Peter". Brian was stunned "You mean I'm dead!!! That can't be, I have so much to live for, I haven't said goodbye to my family.... you've got to send me back straight away". St Peter replied "Yes you can be reincarnated but there is a catch. We can only send you back as a dog or a hen. A flash of light later he was covered in feathers and clucking around pecking the ground. "This ain't so bad" he thought until he felt this strange feeling welling up inside him. The farmyard rooster strolled over and said "So you're the new hen,how are you enjoying your first day here?" "It's not so bad" replies Brian, "but I have this strange feeling inside like I'm about to explode". "You're ovulating" explained the rooster, "don't tell me you've never laid an egg before". "Never" replies Brian "Well just relax and let it happen" And so he did and after a few uncomfortable seconds later, an egg pops out from under his tail. An immense feeling of relief swept over him and his emotions got the better of him as he experienced motherhood for the first time. When he laid his second egg, the feeling of happiness was overwhelming and he knew that being reincarnated as a hen was the best thing that ever happened to him... ever!!! The joy kept coming and as he was just about to lay his third egg he felt an enormous smack on the back of his head and heard his wife shouting "Brian, wake up you drunken bastard, you're shitting the bed"
I reckon re incarnation is natural. If we were aborted, surely we would exist in some form later on? I call abortion, Postponement..
It is in a nutshell. It's the ultimate goal of the soul, which is to reach a state that breaks the cycle of re-incartion. It's obvousily not christian but heaven is the equivalent for understanding it. On gaurd!
often Nirvana 1. Buddhism. The ineffable ultimate in which one has attained disinterested wisdom and compassion. 2. Hinduism. Emancipation from ignorance and the extinction of all attachment. www.answers.com/topic/nirvana#after_ad1 The fundamental preoccupation of any religion, including Hinduism, is not so much to propose or to give solutions to the problem of this intermediary existence (including reincarnation) as such, but to bring all to final salvation (heaven, moksha, nirvana), by proposing ways and means to arrive at the final goal, which for Hinduism includes also the definitive liberation from the karma-samvara or the chain of reincarnation. http://www.spiritual-wholeness.org/faqs/reincgen/hindrein.htm
when i die i want my soul to go into a wolf, in canada. weird for me coz i am a vegetarian, but i love the thought of chasing your prey and the satisfaction of catching it. and they are just so beautiful and strong, very mystical and primal.
