    INTERNATIONAL LAW #
    Australia #
The National Drugs and Poisons Schedule Committee formally added 2C-I, 2C-T-2, 2C-T-7, and 5-MeO-AMT to Schedule 9 (the most restrictive) in 2005. See National Drugs and Poisons Schedule Committee Record of Reasons, 43rd Meeting, 22-23 February 2005. (thanks G, SG)
    Belgium #
2C-I was added to the list of illegal psychotropic substances on Nov 8, 2004 [Moniteur Belge/Belgisch Staatsblad].
    Denmark #
2C-I is reportedly illegal in Denmark as of May 2002 : ('Bekendtg0relse nr 305 af 16. maj 2002 om aendring af bekendtg0relse om euforserende stoffer') [link].
    E.U. #
EU Council published an order on Dec 6 2003, asking all member states to control 2C-I, 2C-T-2, 2C-T-7, and TMA-2 within 90. See Final Rule here. This binding order went against a non-binding EU Commission's recommendation from earlier in 2003. The Commission did not recommend controlling these chemicals because of lack of evidence of problems: Commission of the European Communities : Report from the Comission to the Council : TMA-2, 2C-I, 2C-T-2, and 2C-T-7.
    France #
2C-I was added to the list of controlled substances in August 2004 as a "synthetic other" of mescaline. [Reference]
    Germany #
2C-I is schedule I (Highest level of control). It can not be prescribed, manufactured, or possessed as of Sep, 1999 (listed as 4-Iod-2,5-dimethoxyphenetylazan). See Deutsche BtMG.
    Finland #
Finland is moving to control 2C-I, TMA-2, 2C-T-2, and 2C-T-7 despite these being extremely rare in Finland. The recommendation can be found at: eduskunta.fi (thanks H)
    Greece #
2C-I is illegal to possess in Greece: Table A of Law 1729/87.
    Ireland #
2C-I is illegal to possess in Ireland (Schedule 1) according to the EMCDDA.
    Italy #
2C-I was added to the "Tabella 1" (list of prohibited plants and substances) in a Jan 11, 2005 Ministry of Health statement. (Text of Jan 11 2005 decree: Gazzetta Ufficiale N. 54 del 07 Marzo 2005; text of Jun 2004 ordinance) (thanks X, AG, GBH)
    Japan #
We have been told that Japan added 2C-I, MBDB, and 5-MeO-DIPT to the list of controlled substances in April 2005, however we've been unable to confirm this. One vendor site claims this to be true, but we have not been able to locate any official documents. (thanks SR)

2C-I was not listed in the Japanese list of controlled substances as of May, 2003. However the Tokyo metropolitan government notes: "2c-i is an analogue of Japanese illegal drug called 2c-B, and we think 2c-i would be psychedelic hallucinogen", and says, "We call these substances not 'legal-drug' but 'deviated-from-law-drug'." metro.tokyo.jp (unconfirmed) (thanks AQ)
    New Zealand #
New Zealand has a catch-all Analogues section in Schedule 3 / Class C of their drug laws that would make 2C-I, 2C-E, DOI, DOB, ephedrine, and pseudoephedrine Schedule 3 compounds in New Zealand. See for more information about this.
    Portugal #
Portugal enacted a law in January 2005 to control 2C-I, 2C-T-2, 2C-T-7, and TMA-2. (thanks PL) See policiajudicia.pt : law changes and Psychoactives Law : Portugal
    Sweden #
2C-I is illegal to possess in Sweden (Class I) as of March 16, 2004 (mpa.se). (thanks WP)
    Switzerland #
2C-I is listed in Anhang D of the DetMV from Dec 12, 1996 and is illegal to possess in Switzerland. See http://www.swissmedic.ch/files/pdf/Verzeichnis_d-D.pdf. (thanks V) (last updated Apr 8, 2007)
    U.K. #
2C-I is controlled as a Class A drug under the broad Misuse of Phenethylamines Act.
If you have information about the legal status of this substance in any other country, please let us know

Im pretty sure DOB is actually schedule 1 in NZ, as is 5-MeO-DMT. I think only the 2C-Ts fall outside NZs analogue act

Any Aussies on here should aim to keep being responsible and prevent other RCs like 2C-E from also becoming *explicitly* scheduled...if there are no deaths, hospitalisations, media overexposures - there is no problem.

I was sent a pm (addressed to "ass fuck") with this same info. It was intended to prove that I was wrong in stating that 5-MeO-DMT is unscheduled in Australia, but instead (due to literacy-related difficulties) proved the opposite. It's actually so charmingly ignorant that it makes me smile.

Online negativity/flaming is something I generally speak against, but when the perpetrator is very obviously wrong and making repeated bumbling errors in his/her attacks it ends up, for many of us, being a positive experience. That is to say, we all feel closer to one another, and smarter, by contrast.

    LSDMIKE,

I'm sorry about that last post. I read the first post of the thread, then replied. If I'd read all the posts, and seen that you'd admitted you were wrong and wished dead2dacore good luck, I wouldn't have responded the way I did.

Everyone makes mistakes. It was the way you'd presented yourself that bothered me in a different thread, but I'm over that now. Let's move on and stop wasting forum space with this crap.

    With true respect,
    Aldousage

    2C-I, 2C-T-2, 2C-T-7, and TMA-2 are list I in Spain
2C-B is list II (as long as I can remember)
The EU is looking into tryptamines too but they aren't outlawed yet
