I have never done anything other than shrooms, san pedro, salvia and cannabis. I have had very carthartic experiences using these sacred psychedelics. I tried LSA but didn't get much from that besides shaky body and mild euphoria. I would be open to trying genuine LSD. Anyways I wanted to ask if your experiences with RC has been just as spiritual as using the natural plants? I feel that people like to do RC for the sheer fun of it and have a great time but for the deeper work they go back to the natural plants.
DPT has been just as spiritual as any natural psychedelic I have explored. So i'll leave that one separate up here to take note of. I have had powerful worthwhile experiences from many other RC psychedelics as well such as 4-aco dmt and many chemicals from the 2cx series. Many of these RC psychedelics are incredibly powerful, some of these RC chems like many of the 2cx compounds can be used both recreationally and for deeper entheogenic work, often it depends on the user moreso than the drug.
this is not true for me at all, dunno about others, as gb says the 2cx family is ripe for psychedelic pickings of different flavours, MXE can be very, very introspective and psychedelic at higher doseages, different state but honestly one of my most loved, allows positive analysis of self, removes anxiety or fear totally from the equation and induces an extreme mental clarity with which to mull over situations and future plans... not an RC however salvia divinorum is a great healer, it is like a beacon of light to shine upon things which truly give you grief, even if consciously you ignore them and discount their exsitance to yourself, salvia will expose them to you in plain veiw, and force you to make a choice..:2thumbsup:
The Shulgins still recommend MDMA for therapy work. I wouldn't want to screw up my serotonin levels, this is why I am hesitant to get into RC, although I do have an interest. 6 grams of dried shrooms a few days ago gave me some deep deep introspection. But yes I agree it mostly depends on the user. For example if the user was using an RC and yet still had a underlying judgement about the substance being synthetic, that could color the entire experience.
I had a powerful experience with Salvia 6x. I did it myself and I thought I was being lifted away to another dimension, I even said goodbye to my dog with half tears in my eyes. It felt like I was being transported into a grey colored area from the 60's and I was being ridiculed by others. I don't know what the significance of the 60's was, but ya I did have an underlying feeling of being judged for no reason and having anxiety around others and this was shown to me point blank. I don't think I would ever do more than 6x of Salvia, I can only imagine what 20x would do to me. I truly believe that the quid method is the most natural but I can't sit through all that chewing. If I can find a good tincture then that would be the way to go. A great entheogen to work with.
The only difference between a naturally occuring psychedelic like Psilocin (4-HO-DMT) and a synthetically produced one like Psilacetin (4-ACO-DMT) is that Psilocin happens to be produced in a fungus and Psilacetin happens to be produced in some glassware. They both work on the same systems in your brain and they both produce profound states of introspection. MDMA isn't going to screw up your serotonin system anymore than mushrooms will man. I have had dozens and dozens of incredible experiences on synthetic compounds, the circumstances of their manifestation are really beside the point; ultimately the universe allows them all to exist.
are you sure about that? i think mdma is known to release quite a bit of serotonin, and possibly inhibit the re-uptake as well (i'm not going to look up details right now though ), whereas shrooms might release less serotonin. i'll agree that OCCASIONAL mdma probalby won't screw up your brain, but i'd bet the risk is higher with mdma than it is with mushrooms or LSD... i completely agree with the parts i didn't quote. OP, you have to get over it. there are plenty of things in nature that are harmful, and plenty of man-made things that are harmless. everything is a chemical. but there's a DIFFERENT reason to trust shrooms more than an RC - history of usage. i've had some powerful introspection on 2ce. as they say...your mileage may vary. heard great things about 4acodmt. i don't have experience with a lot of RCs - mostly just 2ce and 2cb. and LSD which of course isn't an RC. i think you should try to find that
Many chemicals of the 2cx series cause similar side effects as MDMA. Individuals often report jaw grinding, excess stimulation and crashes with 2cx chemicals, similar to side effects reported from MDMA, and the RC chemicals are largely unstudied. But Both MDMA and 2cx share chemical similarities to mescaline, which is in San Pedro, so it's not like it would be completely new territory for you. I think San Pedro has other alkaloids that cleanse the immune system as well but much of the neurological activity would probably be somewhat similar.
excerpt from PIKHAL: NO 109 MDMA Tolerance studies also support differences in mechanisms of action. In one study, MDMA was consumed at 9:00 AM each day for almost a week (120 milligrams the first day and 160 milligrams each subsequent day) and by the fifth day there were no effects from the drug except for some mydriasis. And even this appeared to be lost on the sixth day. At this point of total tolerance, there was consumed (on day #7, at 9:00 AM) 120 milligrams of MDA and the response to it was substantially normal with proper chronology, teeth clench, and at most only a slight decrease in mental change. A complete holiday from any drug for another 6 days led to the reversal of this tolerance, in that 120 milligrams of MDMA had substantially the full expected effects. _____ IMO this shows that seratonin levels were back to original after 6 days abstinence. for, if they were not to original level, (seeing as the full effects require serotonin release) there would have shown diminished central effect.
