Rate My Professor, how creditable is the site?

Has the rating of the professor at your college always been spot on valid? Any bad experiences?

 

Well it's formed around opinions, so I'd doubt so, but if you could read comments.. maybe you'd get a formed opinion

 

No. What it really rates is:

How easy is it to get an A?
Will the information be spoon-fed to me?
Does the prof have an accent?

 

In my experience, this is pretty accurate. Some of my favourite profs have bad reviews, usually for things like not posting the lecture slides online so that students actually show up to lecture, or for "picking on" students during seminar (aka. asking them to back up their opinions with reasoning or evidence).
