I'm wondering if there is a rasta-specific way to do meditations. I've been practising kundalini for about a month and I would like to learn new methods or practises because I'm really enjoying this. I feel like superman after I do the meditations and my trust in god is really powerful sometimes. Have to admit smoking some herb before meditating once was the first really eye opening experience because I felt like I was literally chanting to the snake at the bottom of my spine and later incorperated these patterns into my actual meditation because I felt that was the way it should be done. About to go meditate now , exciting part of my day.:afro:
See Jah in Everything, see yourself InI in everything, question everything, be yourself, everything is meditation
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=377775IY - let us grow no one sees the suffering behind the old one's grove your looking to me but i've to go down the street its just words to me theres nothing to them nothing really to know just like a thought melting like the snow but its always there like the wind in the air like a seed pushing down into ground baby you just got to let me grow don't say nothing just let me grow in sun and moon shine everything is poetry its kind of divine don't say nothing just let me grow you know when you need couple bowls to smoke you know baby i will not joke i can hook you up with some really nice stuff and then i'll be on my way growing in the night and dancing in the day on and on just the way that is goes up and down call it what you want cuz it goes all around one day you'll see, the way it really be more than just a philosophy goes to you just like it comes to me
I do see Jah in everything kind-of because I believe in underground hip-hop culture which considers the oxygen we breath, god itself so in a sense we're all god. But if anyone knows any specific meditations or ways of living I can add into my life I'd be pleased to know because I'm devoting my life to rasta's way.
in jamaica when a rasta tells you he is holding a meditation it means he is thinking deeply and wisely about something it does not mean he is cleaning his mental as they do it in buddhism for exemple.. rastas do not have specific techniques anywhere to meditate the way you understand it.. for this you must look to the eastern traditions .. rasta is more about a livity a lifestyle that is not very precise but probably you can mix it to your yoga techniques it will fit in!
