Today's rap is nothing like it used to be. Rap ceased to contain any substance when 2pac died. The only rap worth listening to these days is Three Six Mafia, aside from them all I listen to is The Doors, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, and various psychedelic-type music.
just my opinion but i dont think that it takes alot of talent to rap and i dont like it. making music is awsome but i just cant even consider most of the rap out there today "music".
The only "present day" rap I listen to is Kanye West (theres just somethin bout his songs that I like) and British rap artists such as Dizzee Rascal and artists like him, cuz thats like a completely different type of rap that I like a lot. Other than that, its rock and reggae for me...
I just can't get into that .. But I think if rap said something aside of gangsta ,car bitches , i'd be more interested .. But there must be good unknow rappers , but i don't know them ..
old-school rap is cool, and SOME new ones are cool (not hip-hop..i'm talkin gangster rap ) and jot has these big ass speakers, so on the way home, he has this gangsta rap cd and he plays it, so it's like those annoying kids who pull up and you can feel it bumpin more than they can it's kinda annoying and it hurts my ears, but it actually takes my mind offa school and stuff even though you can't even hear the words
