rap sucks these days because rap fans are stupid.

Like honestly look at whos the best rappers and truly see how terrible they are.

Came to this conclusion while listening to east 1999. That whole album let alone the rappers sound so much like a rap cd and has actually lyrical 16 bars that when you hear lil wayne I feel extremely stupid. Kendrick lamar, mike miller, gunplay, officer ricky, drake are all dumbed down rappers.

That east 1999 album is so solid in every aspect that it boils down to having intelligence in really knowing how to tell great rap.

RAp fans are just plain dumb really.

While I generally agree with what you are saying, gotta say I like the few Kendrick Lamar songs I've heard. The verses to Swimming Pools even slightly reminded me of Bone Thugs when I initially heard it.

Rap glorifies a certain lifestyle. A lifestyle that anyone who is not a rapper will tell you is a dead end meaning the whole gangster mentality. It's allot easier to talk about it then live it. Hip hop was not always like this but in the late 80's all the drug dealers figured out the white people will buy albums about selling crack, and then they don't have to actually sell crack.
