So i was just brainstorming a bunch, and i just came up with a seemingly good idea. So you know how most of people's water that we get is fucked up right? That there is crap like fluoride, chlorine, and even many different prescription drugs. So I always thought there is no way around this (even though i have a decent water supply) but then it occured to me just now. If you don't live in a city you could put out buckets for rain water and then drink all the rain water!
Do people do this? Does it have all the minerals that is in drinking water? Is there any problem with this?
    Thanks

You really haven't thought this through? - Processed water is constantly tested to make sure that there is minimum amounts of contaminants, yes - there may be some of those things in them - but in such a small quanity they cause no harm what so ever.

Pollution raises into the atmosphere, rain clouds form - sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur monoxide and MANY more pollutants get trapped within the water vapor and then rain upon the earth.

Ever heard of acid rain? Processed water is far safer and healthier than rain water.

How about getting well water? If you live in an old enough house, you would probably get water from a well. You can taste the difference.

Yeah I would do that. Do I have to dig a huge hole or something? My friend has a well it's amazing.

They sure don't do it as much anymore i'll bet you.

Haha, no, I think it requires more than just digging a big hole.
I didn't read this, but whatever.

Tells you a simple way to build a well. My house already had one, but it has been around for a few hundred years.

    Yea, it probably is work.
You might just want to wait for a well to appear.

A well would be great,,, provided theres no groundwater contamination, runoff from industrial plants upstream or farming areas can wreak havoc on ones water supply.

My 2 cents, get one of those Brita water filters you attach to the faucet, it filters out all that crap to 99.9% which is probably better than rain or well water in 99.9% of the cases on this planet. (Maybe more like 75%??)

    Well water is wonderful water.
I used to live out in the country and we had welll water.
Drink it straight from the faucet.

I dont think rain water is a good idea.
Acid rain is a big concern...
