Random Facts XXVI - The Christmas Edition

I have one I keep for plowing places my truck wont reach...I put v bar chains on all 4 tires and can go almost anywhere (but I only use it in the yard)

Our driveway runs in a slight incline from the road for about 70 yards (ummm what, about 60 meters?). Every winter it gets iced up at various times. My Chevy Astro van would invariably get stuck on it at least twice during the winter. Now I have a Ford Windstar that makes it up just fine - but my stepdaughter is now living with us, and HER car gets stuck.

98. LX? Mine has the 2.3 L engine.

 

It died from a neglected oil pump. I knew the pump was going out, but I thought I had a little time to get it fixed. The engine seized up on the turnpike one day.

OR...maybe I subconsciously WANTED to kill the car...

 

my modem keeps deciding to turn off at random times :frown:

 

i didnt know it came in a ladies model...i assumed all of them had big motors..i miss all the options and extra leg room:mickey:

 

Heh Sorry, make that 3.8 L. Yeah, I like the design a lot. What I don't like is that it develops a lot of problems. Right now the brakes work best when the ABS light is on. When it's off, the ABS kicks in every single time I brake. And if the engine reaches a certain temp, the speedometer dies and the automatic gearshift balks. I've been putting off repairs because I have no money, but my yearly inspection is next month and I'll probably need to take the plunge. Still, it's a helluva lot better than the Chevy Astro.

i like it when people draw conclusions about the global economy based on their recent trip to wal-mart

 

every month or so my abs pump would start making a god awful noise like severely squeaking scratching kind of noise..it was very scary to hear iof you werent use to it..the entire 2 years i owned that van the emergency brake light was on,the abs light,check engine light,door ajar light,this despite NO dash lights at night..it was a death trap...in my truck now both the brake lights are on

 

not impressed :frown:....focus mechanism is noisy and pictures have a line in each one...refund time
