Traditional Irish music session.

At most of the locals every Monday night in town.

Basically a load of old men playing bodhráns, banjos, guitars etc...around a table. Its free of course and they dont get paid for it but they get free drinks all night. Very fussy about people talking while their playing and very picky about who plays, they usually invite others to play or sing but if the person isnt invited and tries to join in they get a bit pissy. Cant get a video because I dont have a phone but one day I will

Its called trad ya plank :toetap05:. Come over here and sound like a tourist if you want but Im sticking to the way everyone in the country has always called it

 

And, where did the word Trad come from?

Well I think with my accent, people would guess I am a tourist anyway. So unless I put on an |Irish accent, I would stick out like a sore thumb!

 

If you tried putting on an Irish accent I think you would stick out more :rofl:

 

My Irish accent is awful, true.

But my accent sticks out anywhere I go. My school was a curse :tongue:

Most of the people round here dont have much of an Irish accent, too many new age travellers from the UK, most have got a bit of it though

Some times I am very Scottish, sometimes more 'posh'. I definitely do not have a cockney accent!

hmm...Id say a solid 6 but it varies depending on quantities of drink/drugs consumed :tongue:

 

My accent can change depending on the people I am with. I think subconsciously I try to fit in if I am the odd one somewhere. It's strange how quickly people stereotype you because of an accent.

I dont feel right lately and I think I have a small kidney stone on the way

 

I feel tipsy

 

I hope it's not too bad. My sister has kidney stones right now. In the past she's even gone to the hospital and given morphine for the pain.

 

Still cold a rainy....

I'm so BORED...

 

I am drinking wine, listening to Scottish music, and waiting for the phone to ring. All of this combined had made me slightly manic.

On another note, I have never had kidney stones, nor know anyone who has. But, I hope you're ok.
