After cats eat, they always immediately bathe themselves. This is because their instinct tells them to get the food scent off of them so that predators will not smell the food and come after them.

Next time you bust your cat for something, even just for thinking of doing something...Watch for the 'comfort lick.' It's actually pretty comical, never fails either.

    Those are neat :)

That one is so sad, for the dog more than anything. Just goes to show how much they need proper socialisation.

Did you know there are two kinds of pandas? There is the Long-tailed Himalayan carnivore that looks like a raccoon and there is the Giant panda bear that lives in Western China.

A crocodile can't move its tongue and cannot chew.
Its digestive juices are so strong that it can digest a steel nail.

    Camels have three eye lids

There are only three animals with blue tongues: the black bear, the Chow Chow dog and the blue-tongued lizard.

Roadrunners are large (about two feet long) crested birds that prefer to run rather than fly. They eat rattlesnakes whole, and they can sprint 15 miles per hour.

Bengal tigers are the most water loving of the big cats. They will even chase prey into the water.

I'm enjoying this thread a lot but this fact is a little misleading. The 'other' panda is called the Red Panda or Lesser Panda and although both the Giant Panda and the Lesser Panda are classified as carnivores, they both generally only eat vegetation with the exception of insects or eggs. :)

Does that just mean that the US was better at fighting wars before modern warfare?

But do they bite because they are chained or are they chained because they bite?

Meaning that, like the countless varieties of grapes, it doesn't just come in one color.
