Its not individuals destroying the rainforests, but rather big corporations who are out to make money. Fucking sickening. I hope civilization ends before we get a chance to destroy the rest of the rainforests.
Unfortunately though nature won't be able to take over again as it could've before because we'll have unmanned nuclear power plants all over the place. We've gone past the point of no return I think. All one can do now is try to slow the bastards down.
Unattended nuclear plants all over the place, if we die out they'll contaminate the planet beyond belief.
Lets just hope their shut down before they happen. If we gradually die out then I reckon they will be shut down because with a lesser population there will be no need for nuclear power.
the earth is a tough mother ****er! It's been through asteroid showers, ice ages, hundreds of near-apocylyptic disasters, 3(i think) mass-extinctions. If humans are such a menace, then we are just yet another near-apocylyptic bastard messing up the mother. We will pass, the earth will change, grow, live, age. It will die out one day, but not because of humans.
