Been raining again here in uk, we've had lots of it recently and its really chewed up some of my favourite walking paths, yes that's right they are just too damn muddy! However I do really enjoy the feeling of walking and splashing in the puddles on the tarmac pavements in and around the streets.

Mud feels gorgeous in bare feet but it can be a hazard! Do you get many strange looks walking on wet pavements? I got a few walking to cinema, shopping centre and restaurant the other week. No issues anywhere though :)

Of course I enjoy squishing mud through my toes it's a great feeling to walk barefoot in mud but sometimes it's just not convenient if that makes sense, just like you wouldn't deliberately muddy shoes if you were going somewhere I don't want to get my feet muddy sometimes.

Strange looks are just normal now. I went to a farm shop and b and q barefoot today.

I totally get that. I was thinking more like when I'm out on a trail and won't be traipsing into a store or home.

I love walking in the rain on a warm day, muddy paths, paved streets, wooden walkways or my favorite,a freshly cut lawn.....:sunglasses:

Been raining so much of late I can't remember when I got my soles really black. Dry( ish ) today. Best I could get them.

We are having some atypical late season rain in SoCal the last few days. There were some sprinkles during my hike (wish it would have rained during my hike but may try again tomorrow). The trail was nice and soft with near perfect mud in one section. Heaven.

There's almost a science to good barefoot mud. Too thin a layer and it's very slippery - with a bit of water on top it's like ice. I almost fell a few times in one section, even though I was being super careful. Too deep a layer and you get bogged down trying to walk through it. There is some ideal point of mud depth and consistency (and temperature) where one can walk through it without slipping or lurching about and enjoy a nice smooth squish between and over the toes. It's pretty sensual when all the conditions are right.

They look fantastic! Just the colour soles should be.
