Radiohead is phenominal, there is really no other modern artist one can compare to them. Is there any other bands that sound anything like them? I havent really come across anything

I'm so in love with Radiohead! Thom Yorke has one of the most beautiful voices on Earth and I mean, the songs, the lyrics... Radiohead is absolutely brilliant! :)

I heard someone say the other day "Radiohead is the Beatles of our generation". Don't know if I completely agree, because the Beatles are the Beatles and Radiohead is Radiohead, you know, but I gotta say both bands are just phenomenal. And I like Coldplay, but I think they're a bit of a Radiohead rip-off.

i decided to listen to "O.K. Computer" for the first time in a long time...and i forgot just how phenominal these guys are. Im not always fond of albums like "hail to the theif" or "amnesiac", but kid A and O.K. are pure masterpieces...and the bends is really great as well.

mm yes, Kid A and OK Computer are some of the best albums ever...

and even though I can only listen to them when i'm not feeling at my perkiest they are still grand - there's just something about Radiohead that, as a friend said, makes even the most self-indulgent, pitiful, angsty wallow ever so slightly cinematic.

    Shite, well most of it!

The Bends was good, OK Computer is not bad but very over-rated!

I got into Radiohead in 2004, and first heard 'The Bends', after Jamie Cullum was performing it on The South Bank Show (a Sunday evening programme, here in the UK), and was immediately attracted to 'High And Dry' - and the rest of 'The Bends', then I got 'OK Computer', and found that a bit odd, so went back to 'Pablo Honey', and found its simple sound excellent. I then tried 'OK C', and got into it - found 'Kid A', 'Amnesiac' and 'HTTT' difficult to get into.

If you like them, you'll like a German band - Palestar.

    :)

Muse are way better in my own opinion. I hate that they're compared, it gets a little annoying, but they are in a similar genre.

I would advise checking Muse out if you like Radiohead, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

    Albums:
    Showbiz (most radiohead-esque)
Origin Of Symmetry (arguably the best, most rock-out)
Hullabaloo (1 CD of b-sides as good as any album, 1 CD of live songs of showbiz and Origin. That's a good deal if you're checking them out.)
Absolution, their most recent, sold all over America.

I love Radiohead and I hate Muse, no offense. I think Muse gets compared to Radiohead because if you made a mix CD of both band's music, the average listener would think it was all just one band. If I'd never heard either band that's what I'd think anyway, and I'd also think that band was a little bit shittier than Radiohead.

Thom Yorke and Mat Bellamy both have the same vocal influences (Jeff Buckley & Nina Simone) but the main reason why Radiohead's "The Bends" and Muse's "Showbiz" have the same sound and feel is because they were both produced by John Leckie :)

someone who can't tell the difference between later Radiohead and Muse must have a serious hearing impairment :p
