Does anybody know of some natural remedy for dark circles under the eyes? I hate makeup and won't use it. I've honestly never really felt the need to use it... I don't know what's causing it, because I don't feel especially tired or like I'm working too hard. Are there any allergies or dietary causes for it?
I'm usually not vain, but I've always felt like my face was my good point, physically. Always had a real good and clear complexion w/o really trying.
    I would appreciate any input!

Raccoon eyes can be hereditary...does anyone else in your family have them? It may be allergies too...hard to say. Camocare used to make a product (prob. still does) that helps with puffiness and dark circles...you may want check it out in natural food stores. Good luck with whatever you decide!

The only thing i can think of is lack of sleep but then it can be passed on as well.

Allergies cause me to have rings under my eyes. I have a cedar allergy, but I imagine any allergy can cause it.

Are your eyes puffy, or just dark?

I know my mother has some mary kay stuff that is supposed to lighten rings under the eyes, she seems happy with it. I haven't really tried anything for mine, just some cover-up when I am wearing make-up.

I keep spoons in the freezer because the cold helps with the puffy and blackness.

You have my sympathy. I have those lovely raccoon eyes myself, no matter what I do to them. Creams, ointments, make-up, those suckers still show up.

Mine aren't puffy, they're just dark. Most of the time I look like I've barely slept even though I get enough sleep. My oldest son has the same thing, so yes, it seems to be hereditary. But part of me wonders if it is indeed allergy related for he and I.

So far, my twins don't seem to have the raccoon eye effect. ;)
