It's rather annoying how the race issue is used by the media to incite outrage over something that is ultimately a bunch of meaningless bullshit. Case in point, the Clippers owner and his remarks about black people. The recording in question sounded moronic to the point of almost staged to me, and if it wasn't, the guy's gold-digging, half-black girlfriend was obviously bating him to say the things he did. I say big fucking deal. If it was a black person saying the same thing about a white person, you wouldn't be hearing about it in the news. There is so much shit that's wrong in the world, and people find this important enough to get upset over? Like it really matters what some half-senile, 86-year old coot thinks? People need to grow up and get real. It's been known for years that this guy is a bigot, yet some of these basketball players who are now feigning outrage had no issue with his racism before while raking in millions of dollars. I hear people like Shaq and Magic Johnson denouncing the guy, calling for his suspension/resignation, which they are entitled to do, but at the same time I'm just like "shut the fuck up already... you've made MILLIONS playing this game."

2nd amendment or not- -the guy has a big problem. He employes many players that are black,,and to use such language and be so racist and insulting is really shocking for a man in his position.
Being 86,a billionaire, or senile ,doesn't give him immunity for stupidity or insensitivity

Legally , no crime was committed. However,if the NBA,Players association can take action on the racist remarks then.. NBC can do the same. Freedom of Speech doesn't mean the media is required to provide a platform for everyone. If the NBA does nothing it will speak volumes about their values -

Its his fucking team, If he wants to only crackers in the stands, That's his right. He can also close the doors for all the people who are bitching and moaning about his team and his stadium.
I see nothing wrong with what he wants to do with his team! Wont be any fans or players, But still his to do with as he pleases and if he don't want you on his property, Too fucking bad, Its his right!

every one is in too much of a hurry as it is. bigots can go race each other some place else. i'd rather ride a little slow solar powered train through a buddhist garden on my way to the store and work form my imagination in the little shed behind my micro house.

 

I was really fast as a kid. Got second in state at the 100 in 5th grade and first in the 4x100 relay. Then everyone grew and i didnt...for a while. Now ive caught up and am fast again. I beat my buddy who was #2 at a huge school at the long jump in a race down a soccer field last year. Im too bulky to be quick...like crossover quick change of direction basketball quick but i can run pretty damn fast over short distances. My cardio for running distances is crap though. Most people dony know that upper body strength helps spriting by pumping your arms. Carl lewis used to bench like 365. He was on roids buy sprinters...look at yheir arms and upper body. Theyre pretty jacked. Not like those emaciated looking marathon runners.I prob couldnt run an 8 minute mile right now. I can swim like a fucking fish for long long distances too though.

 

I have no idea about this basketball scandal but I do think the media is completely ridiculous and sensationalist when it comes to the subject of race.

I stumbled upon an article written a while back about that black girl in that slave movie..7 years a slave? I dunno, I don't watch movies. At any rate she's a very beautiful actress. So the article was basically a compilation of various black people sounding off over the fact that white people find her so attractive. Apparently this pisses the black community off because she's Kenyan born, she does look exotic and I guess they felt like she didn't look like an American black woman. So they thought white people were being mindlessly racist by raving about her beauty. I don't know, it didn't make any fucking sense to me.

I know racism still exists, I know white privilege is a real thing, but reading articles like that just really makes me think white people can't win no matter what.

He can be a racist inside his own home. When you operate a business that has dealings with the public, you give up some of your rights.

We used to have businesses that were for whites only. That will never, ever happen again.

 

But again, had it been a black person making these comments about white people, it would be a non-issue.

I thought the guy's comments were pretty ignorant and stupid myself, but they were said in the privacy of his own home. He was recorded without his knowledge and basically goaded into saying what he said by the woman heard on the recording (his half-black/half-Mexican, gold-digging girlfriend).

I mean, it is pretty ridiculous that he told this woman not to hang around black people in public or bring them to his games, when she herself is black and sits next to him courtside at the games watching a sport that is played by mostly black people, whom he has made at least some of his fortune from.

 

Maybe you can find more people who care about that in some country where black people used to own white people as slaves, and treated them like shit for the next 100 years afterward.

Life's a bitch when you're an ignorant business owner. Extra pressure and responsibility come with being the boss. He trusted the wrong people; frequently a fatal mistake.

Black people would have likely never been sold into slavery without the help of their own people. But history conveniently glosses over that also.

 

How we got slaves or who started it doesn't change the fact that we had them. It doesn't change the facts about the treatment they or their descendants have received.

 

Black people always play the race card, yet if a white guy wants to play the race card....o No hes a terrible person.
