While coming home from Oregon Sunday afternoon, the kennel we had boarded our dog in for the weekend called us and told us that Mosely had died due to heart complications. It may have been a heart attack or his heart could've given out because of having heartworm... we don't know. All they know is that he laid down to go to sleep and Sunday morning, they found him and he wasn't breathing. We rescued him a little over three years ago from being abandoned and left to be put to sleep. We took him into a good loving home and he was such an important part of our lives. We're all grieving, we all miss the routines. We go by the door to let Mo in and remember we can't. We reach into his bone bowl before eating dinner to give him a biscuit bone and reach out our arms to the empty air. We hear silence after cars drive by instead of barking. We saw a dog in the paper in need of a good home and were debating whether it was too soon to go and see, but then again we can transfer our bond and love with Mosely to a new dog. He would've wanted his humans to have a companion during this hard time and we know his spirit's guarding this house and he's watching over us from Doggy Heaven.
awwww, as long as he had a nice life with you, thats all that matters. you rescued him from being put down which is great...just think how much of a good owner you were to him...just realise that it was obviously his time to move on... Hope your alrite.. Peace & love Daron xx
I'm sorry about your doggie, but at least he had a good life! Only you know when it's time to get a new one, and I'm sure your old doggie would want you to help another dog! Lots of love to you during this hard time. Much love, Sara
Awww I'm so sorry about Mosely. If you're feeling up to it then do adopt the other dog. Could very well be fate, and s/he might help your grief. TTFN Sage
