John Henry Bonham WAS the best drummer in the rock-n-roll scene. No one could produce the thunder sound he did.

I wouldn't go as far to say that he was the best, but he was very, very good. To me, he was the highlight of LedZep's sound.

    Respect.

Bonham was born at Redditch, Worcestershire, England. He first learned how to play drums at the age of five, making a drum kit out of containers and coffee tins, and copying the moves of his idols Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich. He received his first proper drum kit at the age of fifteen
