ok so after 25 or so years smoking my lungs were starting to hurt
i ordered some natra bio homeopathic smoking withdrawal (id used them before successfully, but had a bad breakup the very last day, and like an idiot started smoking again)

anyway, i quit this morning, expecting to have to take many times the suggested dose the 1st few days
but so far i've only taken 2 doses, had no cravings, no withdrawal symptoms at all, (except it feels strange to be able to breathe so clearly..lol)

ive tried so many ways to quite before, ...with the patch i couldnt make it a day without peeling it off so i could smoke 1 more (which led to 1 more n 1 more)...ive tried just quitting by pure force of will (hard as hell) i'd cut back to just a few drags a day..but couldnt let go of those few drags then i found a full pack and couldnt resist them (which proves the homeopathics are the best way to go since i have 2 full packs sitting right next to me and i have no urge at all to smoke them)

if u dont know how homeopathics work, its very different from most quitting programs which rely on 1 of 2 methods..replacing nicotine sources like the patch or gums..or blocking nicotine receptors like some of those new meds do
i'm no expert on homeopathics at all but from what i understand of them, the theory is that something that causes a symptom will cure that symptom when you create a mother tincture then dilute it over and over to the desired strength (with homeopathics, the strength is actualy increased the more its diluted, a 10x preperation has been diluted to the point that there is no actual measurable amount of the original herb or substance...often highly toxic herbs and subsyances are used in preperations but the resulting preperations have absolutly no side effects, no dangers and no risk of overdose)
most quiitting products continue pumping nicotine into your system and continue harm9ing you
and have side effects and risks as well
but homeopathicly, what your doing is not replacing nicotine sources, or blocking the receptors with chemicals that make you think your getting nicotine
but insted removing the cravings completely, removing the annoying withdrawal symptoms, detoxing the effecyts of nicotine and helping fix the respitory effects from smoking
technicaly what its doing isnt replacing nicotine...its removing it....and its affects..to me that makes more sence dont it? nicotines addictive because of how it affects your body and mind
replacing that with another source, or tricking your mind into think9ing its still getting it is only semi affective because your not seperating yourself from the addiction, in fact your continuing to feed the addiction, your only seperating yourself from the sourse (cigarettes)
the homeopathic way your addressing the nicotine affects directly by not feeding them but removing them

i was shocked when i saw how much people are paying for that chiatix crap too...almost a thousand dollars...i spent 15....and got twice what i will probly need

anyways wish me luck...really gonna make it be permenant this time..but so far its been really easy and feels pretty damn good but lil strange to be able to breathe so well

few tips if anyone wants to try this but arent familiasr with homeopathics
best when used when your mouths clean (dont eat drink or smoke anything for 15 minutes before or after) bite the pill once so it breaks up into chunks, with your tongue manuever them under your tongue and let them dissolve (takes a second or 2, and as the last remnants disapear so do any withdrawal symptoms or cravings) they can be used as often as you need, recomended is 3 a day but 40 a day at 1st wouldnt hurt if youyr habbit was heavy, i expected to have to take at least 10 the first few days, but so far only took 2 and feelin no need yet for a third...take them for 20 days...around day 18 you may start forgetting to take them...if you smoke at all anytime during the 20 days just start over counting the days from that point on..
best way to get started that i found is, the night before u quite, take 1 shortly after u smoke your last cig right before bed...then when u wake up when u usualy reach for your 1st cig of the day take 1 instead...1st thing in the morning is definately the best time to quit...
if you cant find this localy and need to order online, you can find a good price but might have to try a few sites to find 1 that has it in stock...i had to go through 6 sites, and ended up getting the last 2 the site i ordered from had in stock

ahh breathing sure feels good :)

Congrats on being smoke free. The sense of freedom is amazing to me. I'd wish you luck, but you don't need it. Everything is under your own control.

I don't wanna quit smoking. Not yet anyway. Then again, 25 years is longer than I've been alive. I've been smoking for 3 years, I think.

Anyway, my western-medicine doctor wanted to remove my tonsils because they were swollen all the time and they were really fragile. I seeked an alternative and homeoepathy cured that completely so I recommend trying it for whatever health problem.

Hey Howdy Hi Brother! O gee I am so proud of you! I know you are going to do it. I quit cold turkey 8 years ago myself. Have asthma now, so the 2nd hand smoke really helps me to remind myself that I can't do it anymore. Sometimes I think about for a few minutes, how much I miss smoking, but I treat it like a long lost lover or friend that I know I'll never see again, and it passes. When I was about a month into quitting, I relapsed but the experience was so yucky I couldn't do it anymore. I liken it to my craving is like for the most delicious chocolate cheese cake but it tastes like garbage can instead. The mind's desire and reality clash a lot when you've past a certain point I guess. Does that make sense?

Tips: get rid of the smoking paraphernalia (ashtrays for one) and have a ritual that replaces the ritual of the smoking...

just my 2 cents. YOU ROCK!

I had VERY good results with Yogi's Kava Root Tea. It helped me relax, when you quit smoking it raises your blood pressure and you get angry, Kava Root lowers your blood pressure. Plus it tastes way better than tobacco. Like licorice!!!! Almost.. it was heavenly. Can't drink it while pregnant though.

soaring eagle, i am always impressed when anybody gives up smoking. i have tried four times the longest was a year...and then i started again also i tried cold turkey and gor vain when i put on weight. then i tried the anti smoking drug which worked but the side effects are evil (these were used to give up for a year) anyway i would be interested in an update every now and then about how your doing

does not smoking effect your consumption of weed?

ok srry i forgot about yhis thread
i smoked my last the night before the 1st of the month
stopped taking the homeopathics at day 20
oh to answer the how many a day a pack or so but smoked pall malls for awhile and beedies for years
im still getting used to breathing anfd getting the gunk out of the deepest parts of my lungs but it sure feels great

oh in the past a stressfill breakup screwed me up..this time just several days ago had 1 of the worse...extreme srtress..and not even a thought of smoking

my only regret is ive been smoking blunts which lowers the effectiveness of the homeopathics
i wish id stuck to a bowl
