Break something of yourself every time. You'll stop doing it soon enough.

Extreme anger like that isn't really the same as getting anxious or occassionally getting mad - in that case, deep breathing works. In this case, since it sounds like it happens a lot and it sounds like you don't have any control over it. Finding ways to momentarily put your anger in check will certainly help but you also need to find the root of your anger. Perpetually angry people can only calm their anger when they work through the issue that made them so angry in the first place.

take a step back inside your head and ask yourself if the stress is worth it

Anger isn't about the guy in your face. It is about how the guy in your face reminds you that... [fill in your own response] Anger is a secondary emotion. It is always about something else.

As I went through and read the responses, I do get what you guys are saying. I had to apply the deep breathing thing to something that happened today and it did calm me. I do get angry really easily, really fast.

Meditate daily. Dont wait until you want to climb the water tower and blow the town away. Meditate diligently, for 10 minutes daily and you'll find that gradually less and less irritants will be able to filter through to you. You'll become enlightened and free :)

For the long term with the anger issue, look into yoga, tm, any og the self control practices. You don't have to make it a spiritual thing if you don't want to.

10 minutes daily to connect with yourself and the world around you is too inconvenient? You don't already owe that to yourself????
