I know I haven't posted in a while. I apologize. I had a big move after college graduation and now I have a full-time job, among other responsibilities.
A thought popped in my mind about sewing technique that I wanted to share with everyone.

When sewing squares together for any quilt or patchwork, remember to have a careful eye and make sure you are sewing them with the "good" sides facing each other. Sew about a 1/4" in. Once they are sewn together have an iron handy. Unfold the two squares you have just sewn together and lie them face down on the ironing board. Now seperate those 1/4" flaps outward and neatly press them down with the iron. Flip entire piece over and press on the "good" side".
This is important as it keeps everything neat, crisp, and uniform so later down the road when you have many patchy pieces attached it doesn't bunch together.
    Hope this helps. Happy sewing!

Patchwork- piecing small pieces of fabric together to create a larger piece, then quilting layers of textile together - has been found throughout history. Earliest examples have been located in Egyptian tombs.
