Interestingly, the Alberta system is the most like the US. It's not invisible tax, you pay directly into Alberta health care, billed monthly or yearly. If you're not on Alberta HC and you're hospitalized - big freakn' bill. $$ And a good deal of things aren't covered like they are in Ont so those of a fragile state also have to pay into Alberta Blue Cross on top of basic HC to cover their asses.

Seeing as Ontario is now a 'have not' province, I wouldn't whinge too much. Y'all need our nouveau rich asses. And Newfie money too now that they are a 'have'...which I love 'cause Ontarians used to always bitch about the 'welfare' provinces - and now they are one. :reddevil:

Actually the only really good thing about Alberta is the climate. Seriously. I think I wanna start summering in BC and wintering in AB.
