Well they want to drill 3 holes in my left knee and take this lazer and blast the hell out of some torn cartlige and do something to a lateral something so my knee I guess will be normal again but the whole idea seems rather unfun so any natural or other method not requiring me to bleed out there to fix this?????
i advise you to think positive everything happens in your mind think as if you are very strong like a big cat
hey yank, what happend to your ACL. did you tear it? who ahve you spoken with in terms of doctors? any physical therapists? had an MRI or anything done to see what happend to the knee and what is the diagnosis from that? knee surgery isn't fun, but it can really help things out. but its a lot better than making things worse if you don't act on it and fix it. knee surgery isn't what it was 20 years ago - they've improved a lot
surgery is probably the only bet youve got sweetie. unless physical therepy is an otion which it depends on what you did to your acl...if its torn out then yes surgery..if its just injured i would suggest looking into physical therapy
Well I assume they feel its pretty bad since I went to ER around 11pm, they had me an apt with a Orthopedic surgeon 1pm the next day and the MRI 8am the day after that. I live in a small town and the whole medical shit is in a town 30 miles away and is like a hub for alot of towns so thats moving fast, they will call me Monday for the next step. The ER guy said surgery, the Orthopedic surgeon said surgery but needed the MRI to see something to make his job easier and when I asked for a lone single pill just for the time to lay stay for 1 hour on a table and he handed me a 60 pill perscription so "You will have some for after the surgery" Yup looks like they are gonna drill me, lol oh fun.
You can't "naturally" fix a completely torn ACL. They don't grow back like bones do. Are you actually getting an ACL reconstruction, or is it just your cartilage that they're fixin? I had an ACL reconstruction with my patellar tendon when I was 16. I've had friends that had stuff done to their cartilage, and their recovery time was much much less than mine. But if you are getting your ACL replaced, the recovery is the worst part. Surgery was nothing. Unless you want a super wobbly knee the will hyperextend and hurt for the rest of your life, I'd go with the surgery. google is your friend - http://www.arthroscopy.com/sp05018.htm http://www.webmd.com/hw/muscle_problems/hw28289.asp etc
Aint no quick cure baby unless you find a good faith healer or shaman. If you can afford the surgery what the hey?
Have you checked out a brace that can stall it for a while, but your natural knee will still be unstable, but total knee replacement folks are acl deficient too...some knees just last longer than others.
