a friend of mine has a few first timer questions bout using a source.. 1 - the source asked him for his company name, phone number, and purpose for purchasing the chems. are these questions just things that they have to ask? and he should just make something up? what are some legit uses for the 2c-x series, etc.? 2 - what form of payment should he use? he doesnt have a credit card, and he doesnt want to get one. he thought a good idea would be to use a Western Union money transfer. is this a wise idea? 3 - finally, he doesnt want to have the chems shipped to his house, so he planned on getting a P.O. box. will this work out? anyone who can help my friend out will be greatly appricated
1. dunno 2. credit card is probably a must, using things like paypal and western union it's likely you'll get ripped 3. doubt they would ship it to a PO box
well he figures the money transfer is probably the only way, it would be harder to trace back to him.. also the man who referenced the source to him described them as very reliable, and that he has never had any problems with the source before if anything, he figured losing $100 to $200 on a money transfer would be a better alternative to possibly getting his credit card number stolen by a overseas group, or having his order traced back to him because of his credit card
1-Just make something something up, they're just covering their ass, they know perfectly well why you want the stuff. 2-Western Union is probably the prefered method, very few vendors accept CC these days. 3-Depends on the vendor, some do send to PO box, others use delivery companies which cannot.
Look up the substance in question on pubmed or medline and its not hard to bs your way through the vendors questions
Once, when looking for a certain RC, I found a chem supply company that sounded all tight ass / wanted company name / phone / business license yadda yadda.... I just made up a fake named company, then set up a bogus free e-mail account to contact the chem supply company.. I told them I was blah blah, from yadda yadda research institute, and asked if they had any of the RC I wanted.. (did not really expect to hear back from them... 2 days later I got an e-mail from them stating that they had investigated me (my made up persona) and that they were satisfied I was a bonafide researcher!!! They then said they had the chem I wanted for 150 a gram, but could sell me 10 grams at 50% off!!! Yeah well, I bought the 10 grams..... Paid for it with a Postal money order... Sent the M.O. from an address that was not the supposed address of my bogus research facility... Ta Da!!! Got my goods in 4 days!!!! Obviously the supply company did not truly investigate me, or they would have found I did not actually exist... They just play the game as much as any of tha peeps do, to cover thier asses.......... Lots of folks had great times on those 10 grams...YUMMY!!!! ++++++++++++++++ SQUID
if thats a well known china co. then its fine - but be aware of any co. in america that asked those q's..
Be careful. Some of the reputable Chinese companies report ALL transactions to the Chinese govt. and will ask for documents proving that you are licensed to handle chemicals just before payment. If you cant it will be reported and passably traced.
Now I've read the posts about finding sources and even found a few, but many people seem to have found a great deal more than I have and I wonder if Google may not alone account for finding the best sources? Would I have better luck trying to socialize and find them from others or have I just not looked hard/long enough?
lethargy - use tradkey.com and chemexper.com these websites can be found through google but provide a better gateway to maybe what you are looking for.
