    Hi

I hope someone can help. About two years ago i contracted chlamydia. I managed to get treatment for it fairly quickly. this involved going on a course of antibiotics which i think was called zithromax. I went back to the doctors a few weeks later and the test was negative.

Since my negative test I have always felt that something wasn't quite right. I would sometimes still get a little bit of a burning sensation when urinating and also a bit of a burning feeling in my bladder.

Then about a year ago whilst urinating I noticed a small amount of milky liquid coming from my urethra after urinating. It literally looked like milk. From time to time I would also get a sticky clear discharge. Since then these symptoms still seem to be persisting.

Upon having these symptoms I decided to go to a GUM clinic to be re-tested. I had a urine test, swab test, blood test which all came back negative for all STD's. Not convinced I went back again to have the swab and urine test with the results again coming back negative. This time he gave me some anti-biotics for which I think he said urethitis however the symptoms still persisted.

I then went to my local GP and he made me go on a 3 day urine test which involved me handing in samples on a Monday, Wednesday and a Friday. Again the test results came back completely fine. I also went for an ultrasounf in which they examined my kidneys and bladder however nothing was discovered.

I still have the same symptoms and I'm really beginning to lose the plot as to what is causing this! I think now could the chlamydia perhaps be hidden and not showing up on the tests?

I am also wondering if the discharge could be caused by something else? I've heard that prostate fluid is milky white colour which made me wonder if it could be protatitis? I did ask the doctor about this but she said I was too young to have any problems with my prostate. I'm wondering however if the chlamydia could cause prostatitis or perhaps has caused something else despite me now being rid of it?

Pleas help me as it is beginning to drive me mad!

    Thanks

    Marvol

It can, I would ask your doctor for more tests for sure.

There are also a few strains of chlamydia that are very subtle and my not have symptoms at all, and do not culture very well in traditional STI/STD tests.

I also recommend staying away from lots of white breads and rices and sugary things like ice cream, and candy. As more sugar puts stress on your immune system.

    Thanks for your reply.

The fact that I am having some symptoms though it would make you think that if I did have chlamydia it would appear quite easily on a test?

Also 2 out of the 3 tests I've done have also been from 2 different clinics. I'm just not sure if:

    1. It's chlamydia
    2. It is something that has been caused by the chlamydia in the past
    3. Something completely unrelated!

I haven't experienced any of the other symptoms associated with chlamydia such as itching or testicular pain. just seems to be discharge along with some mild pain in the bowel/urethra, however it is probably more present in the bowel and I'm not sure if this is an area normally associated with chlamydia?

Also the discharge seem to come and go. sometimes i can have it continuously during a whole week or it maybe won't happen at all for 3/4 weeks.

The worst pain I ever got whilst passing urine produced a discharge which nearly looked kind of grainy. Though it might have been kidney stones which the doc also suggested, however they did a scan of my kidneys and said it they were fine.

Anyway I'm just going to have to keep going back to the doctor until I get a definitive answer!

    Cheers

Doesn't sound anything like prostatitis, which I have had for a number of years. That starts of incredibly fucking painful, and continues to flare up in painful bouts thereafter. And there is no discharge.

    your doctor is retarded

    see a urologist

try staying away from drugs, alcohol, caffeine, and processed foods for a while.

try doing some kegel exercises, but don't over do it

try doing some regular, gentle aerobic exercises

maybe also try taking a zinc supplement, but also, don't over do it

you may also want to see an acupuncturist/ chinese herbalist

    hope this all works out
