....black top with brown pants....what do you think?

 

Sure.. Why not.... Everything goes with black.. doesn't it

 

personally i don't like it unless it's a light brown.

I don't like black and brown together either. I guess it has been drilled into me since I was a youngin that you never wear brown shoes with black clothes Black top with khaki pants or a light brown or tan would look better in my opinion.

 

Black and brown is one of my favorite combinations.


Of course, I wear brown like most people wear black.

 

yeah well....i ended up changing my outfit anyway...ended up with a gray shirt and a black skirt.....


i just didn't think the black top looked right with my darker brown pants.....

 

there are definetly days when i wish i didn't have to worry about dressing "nicely" for work.....

 

I usually like to dress a bit more loudly myself. But black top and brown pants goes together fine.

 

it can look okay, but only with a black shoe....the pant has to be a slack or trouser cut, ironed, and the top has to be fairly plain.

 

yeah as long as they're similar fabrics ie don't wear brown khakis with a black silk shirt. But I wear brown and black together all the time in fact i wore a brown tweed skirt with a black turtle neck yesterday.

 

i always thought this was a no no, but all the fashion magazines now say that it's an ok combo. would depend somewhat on the particular outfit, i guess.

i definately don't miss having to dress up for work, especially the dreaded instruments of torture...pantyhose. you have my sympathies...lol

 

I'm so lucky, I dont have to dress nice for work...

I get to wear a worn out tshirt and comfty pants. wooh! and chuck taylors
