I replaced my 3 light bulbs in my room with energy efficient ones and began unplugging my electronics that I wasn't using. That could be a start.

You need to find a way to make them care. If they're just selfish ignorant fucks, appealing to something that they do care about, themselves. Maybe explain that energy efficent light bulbs will actually save them money. And other things that you will think of.

What your parents do for or against the environment is irrelevant to what you do.

If you want to do something to help the environment, then do so... don't look to make it an issue about what others are doing or not doing.

do what youuu can, do things on your part, recycle, change your light bulbs, clean up your area, unplug any unused appliances... if your parents don't wanna help then at least you're trying!

find a way that you can live greener and save money... they'll totally be up for that. Everyone is trying to save money today. try using Compact Flourescent lightbulbs; they take much less electricity which means lower electricity bills!! Also, try reusing things as much as possible, reuse recycle.
