does opened old alcohol (whiskey, vodka) go bad? this shit is seriously old...maybe 4 to 8 years...will this make me sick if i have it or just not be as potent? THANX YALL!

Whisky doesent go bad. It will have totally oxygenated and all the fullness of flavour will have been dropped. it wont taste bad or make you sick but the subtle flavours which an unopened bottle would have will be gone. if all you want is to get drunk then whisky loses approximately 0.75% alcohol every year after it has been opened.

 

I dunno about hard liquor, but a friend of mine found an ole wine bottle at a work site and drank some, he had a real bad sore throat after that.

 

Back before I was old enough to drink p) I found an ooooooolld bottle of whiskey, The date printed on the seal was from the 1960's. So were talking ... over 40 years old ...

It got me hammered like nothing before.
