    When ur blind isnt becuz ur pupils are closed?? If so, if they did LSD, it may open thier pupils(pupil dilation).

    No, people are usually blind because there is something wrong with their retinas/optical nerve.

    this is a topic that i have pondered many times i figure they would just see what most peeple see as cevs but their eyes wouldnt have to be closed, i also wonder if they would see different visuals with their eyes open than closed.

    look, there are at least two ways one can go blind:

    you could have damage to the eye itself and the optic regions, the optic disk, the retina, etc.

    OR you could have damage to the structures within the brain itself that are responsible for processing the many parts of vision.

    here's where it gets tricky:
    if someone could see for many years and then suddenly got their eyes poked out or their retinas were burned or some other ocular damage ocurred, then these people would still have the capability of MENTAL seeing. that is to say that they could close their eyes and still have mental imagery and could picture, in decent detail, things that they have seen before. the dreams of such people would be very visual as well. if this type of blind person dropped acid, they would get visuals (I suppose it would have to be limited to CEVs, but it would be visuals nonetheless).
    now, if someone was functionally blind because of brain damage (such as that from a stroke or car accident), then it is a different story. with damage to the visual areas of the brain, the whole concept of mental imagery is thrown out the window (of course this is a vague generalization - it all depends on what brain structures are damaged and to what degree. a person could lose only their perception of objects or only their perception of color or may lose everything, who knows). thus, a person who is mentally blind like this has NO ability to create mental images and would not have CEVs or OEVs. i suspect this person's trip would be mainly auditory and kinesthetic. one interesting note: if this person had been mentally blind (versus physically blind) for a long while, then this person's brain would have adapted substantially to tune into the other senses such as touch or sound. so even if this person tripped and could not see any images or patterns, they would experience greatly heightened auditory and somatosensory hallucinations.

    i hope that helps a bit. the main thing to remember is that it depends on HOW the person became blind and whether or not they ever were able to see in the past. i think, though, that tripping blind would be similarly amazing, as the experience would just channel deeper into the other senses.

    peace.

    CEV=Closed Eye Visual
    OEV=Open Eye Visual
    Kinesthetic=the type of sense that allows you to feel. the sense of touch. the feel of soft velvet against your skin....

    but i think the question on all our lips is "is it possible to be born blind in the physical eye way, and not the mental way, and still get closed eye visuals or sight in dreams?"

    For someone's mind to be able to manifest a visual, that person would have to have been able to see at one time in their life. If you were born without the ability to see, you would have no idea what anything looks like. It would be impossible for that part of your brain to develop, becasue without ever seeing, that part of your brain is never stimluated. Sight is not an intuition; your brain has to have been sparked from the outside with the concept. You only have what you know to go on.

    Surely a hallucination is created by the brain getting fooled into thinking the things it sees...eyes closed or open are something else....

    surely if there is no visual sensory capabilities, then surely the whole visual aspect of the trip is defunct because sight in a blind person is not an issue.....

    theres nothing to hallucinate about cos all they will see is endless nothing.
